Amazingismness!! :)

Wed Oct 24, 2007, 12:04 AM
  • Mood: Movingon
  • Listening to: I'm going to make myself sick of Nightwish!!!
  • Reading: Poetry
  • Watching: Nothing since Underworld (BEST MOVIE EVER!!)
  • Playing: Lots of keyboard
  • Eating: Sugar
  • Drinking: I still need something strong...
There is a poet called Sylvia Plath who writes the most amazing stuff!!
(too bad she committed suicide when she was 30)
But her kind of poetry is the stuff I'd love to write one day. So if you like my stuff, you'll probably love hers. Her best is probably a poem she wrote about Wuthering Heights but check her out and make up your own opinion.
And POETRY, seriously, is a better words than 'lyrics' for Tuomas Holopainen's masterpiece, The Poet and the Pendulum. Whether or not you actually like Tuomas (guy who writes Nightwish's stuff), you should really read the lyrics to this song.

I would also like to thank you guys for your support when I was a bit down lately. I'm kind of half-over it now. Burdening everyone else makes you feel better :D

If you're really in to her, you should check out "Chaucer" by Ted Hughes. he was her husband and literary rival (even though he wrote British poetry and she wrote American). He wrote the poem about a day he spent with her before, as he said, "she lost her mind to the void of the creative soul."

Sorry, had to do a report on it last year...

If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it
- Nightwish, Dead Boy's Poem

Because fairytales do not always end with 'happily ever after'...

Actually, she tried numerous times. She had... issues. Made her a good poet, though, and she died, like AGES ago!
